Our Story.
Firearms Training and Custom Holsters in Whatcom County
Colibri Arms proudly provides firearms training, firearms safety education, and custom Kydex holsters throughout Bellingham, Ferndale, Lynden, Blaine, and the greater Whatcom County area. Our classes are designed to help new and experienced firearm owners develop safe handling skills, confidence, and practical knowledge in a welcoming environment.
We started this company because we were tired of seeing firearms training treated as an exclusive club. Too often, new shooters walk into classes feeling intimidated, judged, or unwelcome. We knew there had to be a better way.
Our goal was simple: create a place where people from all backgrounds can learn safely, confidently, and respectfully. A place where questions are encouraged, mistakes are part of the learning process, and everyone is treated with dignity.
At the same time, we didn't want to lose the tactical culture that many of us enjoy. You can maintain professionalism, competence, and a tactical mindset without sacrificing respect for others. That's the balance we strive for in every firearms training class we teach and every custom holster we build.
In addition to training, we build durable custom Kydex holsters designed for everyday carry, range use, and responsible firearm ownership. Our holsters are designed with the same philosophy that guides our training: practical, reliable, and built for the working people. We believe quality gear should be accessible, not overpriced. Every holster is crafted with attention to fit, retention, comfort, and durability because your equipment should work when you need it most.
Whether you're carrying every day, training on the range, or simply looking for dependable gear you can trust, we build products that are made to perform without breaking the bank.
We also believe that firearms ownership shouldn't be reserved for those with deep pockets. The cost of firearms, ammunition, and accessories adds up quickly. That's why we are committed to offering affordable firearms training and dependable gear that working people can realistically access. Developing the skills and confidence to safely own and carry a firearm shouldn't be a luxury.
At the heart of this company are the values that matter most to us: integrity, respect, accessibility, and education. Our mission isn't just to sell holsters or teach classes—it's to build a stronger, safer, and more informed firearms community throughout Whatcom County. We aim to replace uncertainty with knowledge, fear with confidence, and hesitation with responsible preparation.
Whether you're purchasing your first holster, attending your first firearms class, or continuing your training journey, you're welcome here. We are proud to stand beside responsible firearm owners who value safety, preparedness, and lifelong learning.
